Nicky Richards Aims for Continued Success at Hexham with Trio of Runners

Following an impressive eight consecutive wins, Nicky Richards is set to send three horses to Hexham for Monday's National Hunt action. Jamesieconn, part of the in-form Richards team, is looking to secure a fourth win in the Mick Walsh Open Ditch Handicap Chase. Having shown a preference for the three-mile distance and good ground, Jamesieconn won at Carlisle and has since been bumped up 5lbs to a mark of 100. The additional weight may pose a challenge, but it would not be surprising to see Danny McMenamin's mount rise to the occasion once more. Streamsforth Lad, despite having placed in various races, is yet to claim a win and remains at a mark of 97 after showing improvement at Bangor. Meanwhile, Stuart Coltherd, who has seen a significant profit over the past two weeks, will be saddling Rightbackatyou, who performed well behind Scottish King over the course and distance. The remarkable winning streak of Nicky Richards will be put to the test as Young Getaway makes his chasing debut in the Anthony Woods Electrical Lightning Bolt Handicap Chase. That One, who will also be making his debut over fences, was previously defeated by Young Getaway and will now have Jack Power's 5lbs claim, effectively bringing his mark down to 105. Other notable entries include Azleet, who has entered the 1000 Guineas contention after a 50-1 Nell Gwyn Stakes win, and Hollie Doyle, who reflects on her hopes for Derby contender Wareeth in the Feilden Stakes at Newmarket. In other news, Evan Williams has been jailed for three years for causing grievous bodily harm, and Grand National winner I Am Maximus has been reflected upon by Kevin Blake. The combination of Lucinda Russell and Michael Scudamore will also be fielding two runners, Heads Or Harps and Choose A Copper, with the former having shown consistent form of late. Grant Wood, trained by Paul Midgley, returns to Gosforth Park, where he has seen success in his previous visits, and Wicket Keeper will be looking to build upon his two wins over six furlongs. Paddy's Day will be wearing a tongue-tie for the first time under Nigel Tinkler, and Albasheer will be ridden by Hollie Doyle. Gardener, who won cosily over the course and distance last time out, returns for the Happy Retirement Maurice & Anne Barnes Handicap Hurdle at 4:30 pm.
