Carragher: Liverpool's Tactical Approach Was 'Massively Wrong'

According to Jamie Carragher, Liverpool's manager, Arne Slot, made significant tactical errors in the Champions League quarter-final first leg against Paris Saint-Germain, which led to a 2-0 defeat. Carragher stated that Slot's decision to use a back five and man-to-man marking exposed Virgil van Dijk and left the team vulnerable to PSG's attacks. The former Liverpool defender believes that Van Dijk will be urging Slot to avoid using this system again. PSG's superiority was evident, with Desire Doue and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia scoring, and they could have easily won by a larger margin. Slot acknowledged that Liverpool were fortunate to only lose 2-0 and expressed relief that the tie is still alive ahead of the second leg at Anfield.
