Fury Vows to Make a Statement Against Makhmudov

In a lighthearted moment at their final press conference, Arslanbek Makhmudov lifted Tyson Fury off the ground in a bear hug, but Fury is determined to make a serious statement in their upcoming fight. Fury, who is coming out of a brief retirement, is on a mission to reclaim a world title and views this fight as the first step towards achieving his goal. Having lost his previous fight to Oleksandr Usyk, Fury is now focused on proving himself as the top man in his division. "For the first time in a long time, I'm the one doing the chasing, not being chased," Fury stated. "I'm the best in this division, and I'm going to keep proving it." Fury has set his sights on the four major world titles currently held by Usyk and Fabio Wardley, but first, he must overcome Makhmudov. "Sooner or later, they'll all have to face me," Fury said. "Who else are they going to fight to earn a significant payday?" At 37 years old, Fury is aware that many doubt his ability to make a successful comeback, including his own father. "People say my legs are gone, my reactions are gone," Fury said. "Tune in on Saturday night, and you'll see for yourself. "I'm still speedy, skillful, handsome, and destructive... my speed and reactions are still intact." Fury warned that he cannot underestimate Makhmudov, saying, "All the other fighters can wait their turn to get beaten. Give this man the respect he deserves. "He's a quick starter with 17 knockouts in the early rounds. I've never underestimated anyone, and I certainly won't underestimate this opponent." Fury's confidence remains unwavering. "I feel sorry for Makhmudov," he said. "I'm going to make an example out of him. I'll knock him out cold. "I'm ready to put on a show."
