Whyte advises Joshua to delay comeback, favors Wilder bout

Dillian Whyte believes Anthony Joshua's next opponent should be Deontay Wilder, but thinks Joshua is returning to boxing prematurely. Joshua's last fight was in December, and he was recently involved in a fatal car accident in Nigeria. Wilder has expressed interest in fighting Joshua, and Whyte thinks this bout would be a good choice. Whyte said, 'If AJ fights Wilder, he will sell and he will knock Wilder out I think.' However, Whyte also believes Joshua should take more time to recover from his recent experiences. A potential fight against Wilder could jeopardize Joshua's planned bout against Tyson Fury later this year. Whyte, who was defeated by Joshua in 2015, thinks Joshua needs time to process his recent losses and come back stronger. Whyte is also reflecting on his own recent defeat to Moses Itauma and is not considering retirement, saying 'I know how capable I am. I know I can still operate at the top level.'
