Sutton Rules Out Celtic's Title Chances, Predicts Two-Horse Race Between Hearts and Rangers

Former Celtic striker Chris Sutton has expressed his doubts about his old team's chances of winning the title, stating that it is now a two-horse race between Hearts and Rangers. With just five games left in the season, the margin for error is minimal. Sutton's comments came after a dramatic weekend that saw all three teams win, with Hearts remaining at the top of the table, one point ahead of Rangers, and Celtic two points behind. Despite Celtic's 1-0 win over St Mirren, Sutton believes they are unlikely to claim their 14th league title since 2011. Hearts came from behind to beat Motherwell 3-1, while Rangers staged an incredible comeback to win 6-3 at Falkirk. Sutton said, 'It's impossible to predict, but I think it's out of Hearts and Rangers.' He also warned that Rangers' next game against Motherwell will be a tough one, despite Motherwell's recent poor form. Meanwhile, Scott Arfield, who was part of the last Rangers squad to win a top-flight title in 2021, believes it is too early to rule out any of the contenders, saying, 'The next game is always the most important, but of course, Rangers look at where they think they can win and have belief in where they can win.'
