QPR and Bristol City Play Out Goalless Draw

Queens Park Rangers and Bristol City extended their respective unbeaten streaks with a 0-0 stalemate at Loftus Road. The Robins, now under the interim guidance of Roy Hodgson, have not suffered a loss since his appointment, having secured victories in their first two matches under his tenure. Meanwhile, QPR remain unbeaten in five games and welcomed back Rumarn Burrell from a three-month injury layoff, with the player making a substitute appearance. Bristol City posed a greater threat in the first half, with their best chance falling to Scott Twine, who failed to make solid contact with a half-volley. Goalkeeper Joe Walsh made several key saves, including denying Twine and Mark Sykes, and also parried a deflected effort from Emil Riis. At the other end, Kieran Morgan dragged a shot wide, while Richard Kone headed straight at City's goalkeeper Radek Vitek. Following the interval, Walsh pushed a shot from Twine away for a corner, and Paul Smyth sliced a shot wide of the near post after good work by Rayan Kolli. QPR head coach Julien Stephan altered his forward line midway through the second half, introducing Burrell and Daniel Bennie in place of Kone and Kolli. Despite the changes, the visitors defended resolutely, and the match ended without either team creating clear-cut chances. Both teams worked hard, but the lack of quality was evident, particularly in stoppage time when Tomi Horvat over-hit a pass, allowing Walsh to collect. QPR's Julien Stephan reflected on the match, stating that the season is not over and that his players' effort demonstrated their mindset. Bristol City's Roy Hodgson believed that the teams cancelled each other out, but felt his side were more adventurous in the second half and could have scored.
