Sale Hooker Receives Six-Week Suspension for Biting Incident

Sale Sharks' hooker, Nathan Jibulu, has been handed a six-week suspension following an incident where he bit Harlequins' prop, Will Hobson, during their recent Champions Cup match. The incident took place in the 69th minute of the game, which saw Sale win 26-17 against Harlequins at Twickenham Stoop on Saturday. Although Jibulu, 23, could have faced a 12-week ban, the disciplinary panel reduced his suspension by half, considering his guilty plea, apology, youth, and clean disciplinary record. In response, Sale issued a statement saying: "Nathan has accepted responsibility for his actions and both the player and the club acknowledge that his behavior was unacceptable. "We believe our players should always conduct themselves as role models, and such behavior has no place in rugby or society. "While the club will undertake its own internal disciplinary proceedings, we will continue to support Nathan during this challenging time."
