Following his signing with Zuffa Boxing, Chris Billam-Smith has expressed his desire to face Jai Opetaia, aiming to solidify his position as the world's best. Billam-Smith, a former WBO cruiserweight champion, is set to compete live on Sky Sports. His journey to reclaim the top spot includes a recent win over Brandon Glanton at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London. Opetaia, also a Zuffa fighter, became the inaugural Zuffa world cruiserweight champion last month. Billam-Smith emphasized that their shared promoter and status as top names in the cruiserweight division make their matchup inevitable. He believes that Zuffa will provide the platform for him to prove his superiority by beating the best, with Opetaia being his primary target. After a year-long hiatus, Billam-Smith is eager to return to the ring, having been in training camp since January, and is looking forward to an imminent fight announcement. A potential bout in the UK, preferably in his hometown of Bournemouth, is also on his radar.
