Augusta National Golf Scores: Final Results from The Masters Tournament

The final standings from The Masters, the first major golf tournament of the year, are in. Held at Augusta National in Georgia, the event saw a thrilling conclusion. Rory McIlroy, the defending champion, made history by successfully retaining his title, becoming the first player to do so since Tiger Woods. McIlroy's victory came after a closely contested playoff against Justin Rose the previous year, earning him the career Grand Slam. This year, McIlroy posted a one-under 71, edging out Scottie Scheffler by a single stroke. Tyrrell Hatton finished third, tied with Justin Rose, Cameron Young, and Russell Henley. The top 10 was rounded out by Collin Morikawa, Sam Burns, Max Homa, and Xander Schauffele. Patrick Reed and Shane Lowry, however, had a disappointing final round. The Masters is the first of four major golf tournaments in as many months, followed by the PGA Championship, the US Open, and The Open. The PGA Tour now heads to South Carolina for the RBC Heritage, with Justin Thomas returning to defend his title.
