Thomas Partey Pleads Not Guilty to Additional Rape Allegations
Ex-Arsenal player Thomas Partey has entered not guilty pleas to two fresh allegations of rape. The 32-year-old midfielder appeared in court on Monday, denying the rape of a woman in London in December 2020. He had previously been charged with five counts of rape and one count of sexual assault, to which he also pleaded not guilty. The new allegations bring the total to seven counts of rape and one count of sexual assault, involving four women. A trial is set for later this year, although the date may be pushed back to January due to the additional charges. Partey, who now plays for Villarreal, is currently out on bail and is expected to play for Ghana in the upcoming World Cup.
