Rangers Footballer Dujon Sterling Faces Court Charges for Alleged Drunk Driving

Dujon Sterling, a 26-year-old Rangers defender, has made a court appearance to face charges of reckless driving and driving under the influence. The allegations against Sterling stem from an incident on January 4, where he allegedly sped through Glasgow City Centre, putting other road users at risk and losing control of his vehicle. In addition to the reckless driving charge, Sterling also faces a separate charge of driving while intoxicated on the same date. Notably, Sterling had participated in a match against Celtic the day before, with Rangers emerging victorious with a 3-1 score. According to the allegations, Sterling's breath contained 60 microgrammes of alcohol per 100 millilitres, exceeding the legal limit of 22 microgrammes per 100 millilitres. During his appearance at Glasgow Sheriff Court, Sterling did not enter a plea. The case has been adjourned by Sheriff Jonathan Guy, with a further hearing scheduled at the court for May 5.
