Joel Tomkins Leaves Catalans Dragons Due to Personal Circumstances

Joel Tomkins has announced his decision to step down as head coach of Catalans Dragons, citing personal reasons. Tomkins, who held the position for nearly a year, found it challenging to be away from his family. After a recent period at home, he opted to leave the team, which is currently sixth in the Super League standings. Initially, Tomkins took on the role as an interim coach but was later appointed permanently. He expressed gratitude for his time at the club, stating that he has learned a great deal and formed valuable friendships. However, the prolonged separation from his family proved too difficult. Tomkins will be replaced by Ryan Sheridan, who will serve as interim head coach alongside assistants Micky McIlorum and Mitchell Pearce, starting with their next match against Warrington Wolves on April 18.
