Laura Robson's Grueling London Marathon Prep: From Melbourne to Miami
Former British tennis star Laura Robson has been globe-trotting for work, but she's found time to train for the London Marathon. From scorching Melbourne to freezing Milan Cortina and rainy Miami, Robson has pushed through diverse conditions to prepare for the 26.2-mile challenge. Now back in the UK, she's gearing up for the big day. 'Training for the London Marathon is brutal,' Robson admitted, 'I don't know why people do this.' Despite her tough schedule, Robson aims to achieve a sub-3:40 finish. To fuel her training, she's focused on a carb-rich diet and staying hydrated with plenty of electrolytes. Robson also sought advice from her Padel-playing friends on maintaining a consistent marathon pace. Although she's had to do many runs solo due to work commitments, she's looking forward to the electric atmosphere of the London Marathon and the final stretch. Robson is running for the charity Give It Your Max, which provides free tennis lessons and support to kids in schools.
