Augusta National Final Results: Masters Leaderboard

The final leaderboard is in for The Masters, the first major golf tournament of the year, held at the prestigious Augusta National course in Augusta, Georgia. Rory McIlroy successfully defended his title, making history in the process, after winning last year's event in a playoff against Justin Rose to become the sixth player to achieve a career Grand Slam. World number one Scottie Scheffler was the favorite to win, despite not having a top-10 finish in his last three PGA Tour events. McIlroy's victory marked a milestone, as he clinched the title with a one-under 71, finishing one stroke ahead of Scheffler. Tyrrell Hatton, Justin Rose, Cameron Young, and Russell Henley were tied for third, while Collin Morikawa and Sam Burns shared seventh place. The top 10 was rounded out by Max Homa and Xander Schauffele. Patrick Reed and Shane Lowry struggled in the final round, with Reed finishing five under and Lowry slipping out of contention with an eight-over 80. This week's major featured 91 players and is the first of four in a span of four months. The PGA Championship, US Open, and The Open follow The Masters. The PGA Tour will head to Hilton Head Island in South Carolina for the RBC Heritage, where Justin Thomas will defend his title. Coverage begins on Thursday, with early coverage starting at 12:30 pm on Sky Sports Golf, followed by full coverage at 7 pm.
