Maguire Commits to Manchester United with New Deal

Manchester United's defender Harry Maguire has agreed to a one-year contract extension with an option for an additional year, ensuring his stay at Old Trafford extends into an eighth season. Maguire's previous deal was set to expire at the end of the current season. The 33-year-old expressed his enthusiasm for the new contract, emphasizing his desire to be part of a special campaign next season, as he believes the club is on an upward trajectory. Maguire stated, 'It's amazing to be at this club for seven years, and now it's going to be eight. I'm really looking forward to it. Since Michael Carrick took charge, Maguire has been a constant presence in the team, helping the club rise to third in the Premier League and earning an England recall. Maguire is convinced that United has turned a corner and is eager to contribute to the team's success. He said, 'I feel like we're in a good place at the moment. I believe we're in a forward curve with the club, and I want to be part of that. I want to leave the club in a good place when I do leave, and that's the most important thing.' Maguire's new contract comes after his England recall and a significant upturn in Manchester United's performance, with only one loss in 10 games under Carrick.
