Nathan Aspinall has emerged victorious in the German Darts Grand Prix, defeating Danny Noppert 8-5 in the final to claim his fourth European Tour title. Aspinall's win marked a triumphant return to form, as he overcame a strong challenge from Noppert to take home the £35,000 top prize. The Stockport star produced a remarkable comeback, winning four consecutive legs from 5-4 down to seal the victory, with an impressive average of 100.35 and seven 180s. Aspinall's path to the final included a dramatic win over Ricardo Pietreczko, followed by victories over Martin Schindler and Andrew Gilding. He then delivered a stunning performance in the semi-finals, averaging 106.40 to defeat Kevin Doets and set up the showdown with Noppert. Despite Noppert's spirited fightback, Aspinall responded with legs of 13, 12, and 15 darts to lead 7-5, before converting a clinical 128 checkout to cap off a brilliant display.
