Carragher: Slot's Tactical Approach Was Woefully Inadequate

Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher has slammed Arne Slot's tactical decisions, stating that the manager got it "massively wrong" in the Champions League quarter-final first leg against Paris Saint-Germain. Carragher believes that Slot's decision to switch to a back five and employ man-to-man marking exposed Virgil van Dijk and left him struggling alongside Ibrahima Konate. The former defender thinks that Van Dijk will be urging Slot to never use this system again, given his discomfort in the back three. Meanwhile, Slot has acknowledged that Liverpool were fortunate to only lose 2-0, given the plethora of chances created by PSG. He expressed relief that the tie is still alive and is hopeful that the return leg at Anfield will yield a different outcome.
