Clayton also snapped a three-week quarter-final losing streak by defeating Luke Humphries 6-5 with a bullseye finish, leaving the defending champion in seventh place and running out of time to defend his title. Van Gerwen secured a 6-5 win over Stephen Bunting and also defeated Gian van Veen 6-4 in the quarters. Bunting started the night with a 6-4 win over Littler, who had his lowest average in a televised PDC event. Josh Rock began his evening with a strong 6-3 win over Price, keeping his points tally going.
