Following his unanimous decision victory over Regis Prograis, Conor Benn has expressed his eagerness to face WBC welterweight champion Ryan Garcia. Benn's win, which came after a grueling fight that included several head clashes resulting in eye cuts, marked his first bout of the year at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Post-fight, Benn swiftly turned his attention to Garcia, stating 'Garcia, I want my belt! I want my belt. Keep my belt warm' in a social media video. Garcia, who claimed the WBC welterweight title in February by defeating Mario Barrios, responded by saying 'I'm down. Garcia vs Benn. Let's do it.' Benn's record now stands at 25-1, with this particular win coming at a catchweight 3lb above the 147lb welterweight limit. Benn has predominantly fought at welterweight, with his sole professional loss being to Chris Eubank Jr at 160lb, a defeat he avenged last year. On Saturday, Prograis pushed Benn to his limits, but the latter's superior speed and energy secured him a comfortable points victory. Benn described the fight as 'great, tough, durable, experience,' and expressed his readiness to move down to 147lb to challenge Garcia, saying 'My first fight back at 150 for three years and now I'm ready to move down to 147 to get Ryan Garcia.'
