Augusta National Golf Scores: Final Standings from The Masters Tournament

The final leaderboard is in from The Masters, the first major golf championship of the year, held at the prestigious Augusta National Golf Club in Augusta, Georgia. Defending champion Rory McIlroy made history by successfully retaining his title, becoming the first player to do so since Tiger Woods. McIlroy's victory marked his completion of the career Grand Slam, a feat achieved by only six players in history. World number one Scottie Scheffler was the pre-tournament favorite but ultimately finished a shot behind McIlroy, who carded a one-under 71 in the final round. Tyrrell Hatton, Justin Rose, Cameron Young, and Russell Henley all tied for third place, a stroke behind Scheffler. The top 10 was rounded out by Collin Morikawa, Sam Burns, Max Homa, and Xander Schauffele. Meanwhile, Patrick Reed and Shane Lowry struggled in the final round, posting scores of 73 and 80 respectively. A total of 91 players competed in the tournament, which is the first of four majors in the men's golf calendar. The PGA Championship, US Open, and The Open follow in the coming months. The PGA Tour now heads to South Carolina for the RBC Heritage, where Justin Thomas will defend his title.
