Augusta National Leaderboard: Final Results from The Masters

The final standings from The Masters, the year's inaugural major golf tournament, are in. Held at Augusta National in Augusta, Georgia, the competition saw Rory McIlroy successfully defend his title. McIlroy made history by becoming the first player to achieve a career Grand Slam since Tiger Woods. World No 1 Scottie Scheffler was the pre-tournament favorite but ultimately finished a shot behind McIlroy, who carded a one-under 71. Tyrrell Hatton, Justin Rose, Cameron Young, and Russell Henley tied for third place. The top 10 was rounded out by Collin Morikawa, Sam Burns, Max Homa, and Xander Schauffele. Patrick Reed and Shane Lowry struggled in the final round, finishing five under and slipping out of contention, respectively. The Masters is the first of four men's majors in as many months, followed by the PGA Championship, US Open, and The Open. The PGA Tour now heads to South Carolina for the RBC Heritage, where Justin Thomas will defend his title. The next men's major, the PGA Championship, will take place from May 14-17 at Aronimink Golf Club in Pennsylvania.
