I Am Maximus Reclaims Grand National Title

In a historic moment at the 2026 Randox Grand National, I Am Maximus achieved the remarkable feat of regaining his title, a feat last accomplished by the legendary Red Rum. The race was filled with early drama, including the fall of Grangeclare West and Panic Attack, but I Am Maximus, under the skilled hands of Paul Townend, navigated the challenging course with finesse. As the race unfolded, a bold bid by The Jukebox Man was overtaken by the heavily-backed 9-2 favourite, I Am Maximus, who stormed to victory after the final jump, securing his second Grand National win and a record fourth for owner JP McManus.
