Fury vs. Joshua: Promoter Predicts 'Boxing's World Cup Final' This Year
Tyson Fury's manager, Spencer Brown, has stated that Fury will face Anthony Joshua this year, as reported by Sky Sports. Brown, who is also promoting Fury's upcoming bout against Arslanbek Makhmudov, believes a victory for Fury will set the stage for the long-awaited showdown with Joshua. Brown described the potential fight as 'the World Cup final of boxing,' emphasizing that it's time for the match to happen. He noted that if Joshua decides to have a warm-up fight first, it may delay the bout by two months, but he is confident it will take place this year. The highly anticipated fight between Fury and Joshua has been in the works for a long time, but it has yet to be finalized. Brown acknowledged that Joshua, who is recovering from a car accident, may need time to prepare and could opt for a tune-up fight before facing Fury. However, Brown is eager to make the fight happen, saying, 'We've had the starter, let's have the main course now and let's get it done.' He also invited Joshua to attend Fury's upcoming bout against Makhmudov at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Saturday.
