Rangers Footballer Dujon Sterling Faces Court Over Alleged Drunk Driving

Dujon Sterling, a 26-year-old Rangers football player, has made a court appearance on charges of dangerous driving and driving under the influence. The allegations stem from an incident on January 4, where Sterling allegedly drove at high speeds through Glasgow City Centre, posing a risk to other road users by driving into their path and losing control of his vehicle. On the same date, he is also accused of operating a vehicle while intoxicated. This incident occurred a day after Sterling played in a match against Celtic, which Rangers won 3-1. According to the allegations, Sterling's breath contained 60 microgrammes of alcohol per 100 millilitres, exceeding the legal limit of 22 microgrammes per 100 millilitres. During his appearance at Glasgow Sheriff Court, Sterling did not enter a plea. The case has been continued by Sheriff Jonathan Guy to a further hearing scheduled for May 5 at the same court.
