Dubois Battles Through Illness to Unify Titles, Eyes Future Fights

Caroline Dubois has disclosed that she fell ill on the day of her bout against Terri Harper, but still managed to secure a unanimous decision victory. The win allowed her to unify Harper's WBO lightweight title with her own WBC championship. Dubois revealed that she woke up with a severe case of the flu, but pushed through the illness to achieve the victory. "I was feeling unwell and had to pace myself throughout the fight. It was a challenging test, but I was able to overcome it and emerge victorious," Dubois said. The experience of fighting Harper will benefit Dubois, who is now a unified world champion. Dubois' promoter, Nakisa Bidarian, would like to arrange a fight between Dubois and Katie Taylor, the undisputed two-weight champion. However, Dubois is more interested in facing American rival Alycia Baumgardner. "I want the biggest fight in women's boxing, and that's against Alycia. I'm willing to take on the best, and I believe I can come out on top," Dubois stated.
