England U21s Bounce Back with Convincing 4-1 Win Over Moldova

Ethan Nwaneri scored a brace as England's Under-21 team returned to winning form with a resounding 4-1 victory over Moldova at Carrow Road. Following a surprise 1-1 draw with Andorra, Lee Carsley's team, winners of the last two European Championships, dominated the match, thanks in part to key performances from Arsenal's Nwaneri and Myles Lewis-Skelly, as well as Tottenham's Archie Gray. Lewis-Skelly set up both of Nwaneri's goals and Gray scored in between, after Vasile Luchita had equalized for Moldova, before Romain Esse sealed the win late on, securing England's sixth victory in seven matches in their U21 Euros qualification group. Carsley made five changes to the starting lineup, handing Sam Amo-Ameyaw a full debut, and the new-look team quickly took control. Lewis-Skelly was instrumental, providing excellent passes and setting up Nwaneri's first goal, which came after 11 minutes. England's lead was briefly threatened when Luchita scored a superb curled effort, but Gray's goal restored the two-goal cushion, and Nwaneri's second sealed the win. The victory was capped off by Esse's late header, securing a 4-1 win in front of 11,547 spectators.
