Charlotte Edwards Nominated for Inaugural T20 Hall of Fame Class

England women's cricket team head coach, Charlotte Edwards, has been shortlisted for the newly introduced T20 Hall of Fame. This honor is part of a celebration of the most iconic figures in domestic T20 cricket in England and Wales, presented by Vitality. The shortlist includes six men and six women, from which an independent expert panel will select the first inductees. The panel consists of former players, commentators, and journalists. Additionally, a public vote will contribute to the decision-making process, allowing fans to have their say. The first inductees will be announced on May 15, ahead of the 2026 Vitality Blast opening night on May 22. Among the nominees, Samit Patel expressed his pride in being shortlisted alongside other great names, stating it would be an incredible honor to be one of the first players inducted. Danni Wyatt-Hodge also shared her excitement, considering it a big deal to be nominated and hoping to be among the inducted players. The list of nominees includes notable players such as Edwards, who captained the 2016 Kia Super League winners, Southern Vipers, and led them to the final in 2017 before her retirement. Other nominees include Gordon, Knight, Levick, Sciver-Brunt, and Wyatt-Hodge, all of whom have achieved significant milestones in their careers. On the men's side, nominees include Bopara, Briggs, Denly, Patel, Vince, and Wright, each with their own impressive records in the domestic men's T20 competition.
