Searle Secures Players Championship Title, Wade Achieves Milestone

Ryan Searle claimed his eighth PDC ranking title with an 8-3 victory over Alan Soutar in the Players Championship Seven final, averaging 95.65 to take the top prize for the seventh consecutive year. Searle began the day with a 104 average win over Raymond van Barneveld, then defeated Charlie Manby 6-3, before overcoming Gary Anderson 7-3 in the semi-finals to set up his final meeting with Soutar. Searle expressed his satisfaction with his performance, stating, "I played really solid today" and averaging his best against Raymond van Barneveld, despite feeling it was his worst performance. He hopes to build on this momentum and win more titles this year. Additionally, James Wade made history by becoming the first player to win 1000 matches in Players Championship events after defeating Lukas Wenig 6-1 in the first round. Although his night ended with a shock 6-2 loss to Cristo Reyes, Wade took to social media to express his pride in achieving this milestone, saying, "What an achievement and I feel really proud of that!"
