Sabalenka and Rybakina Set to Clash in Indian Wells Final

Aryna Sabalenka has secured her place in the BNP Paribas Open final at Indian Wells, where she will meet Elena Rybakina in a rematch of their Australian Open final. Sabalenka advanced to her third Indian Wells final in four years with a straight-sets victory over Linda Noskova. The Belarusian player is seeking her first title at the event after finishing as runner-up to Mirra Andreeva in 2025 and Rybakina in 2023. Sabalenka dominated the semi-final, breaking Noskova's serve early on and maintaining a healthy lead throughout the match. Although Noskova managed to break back when Sabalenka was serving for the set, the Belarusian player promptly secured the first set and went on to win the second set 6-4. Sabalenka's path to the final has included straight-sets wins over Naomi Osaka and Victoria Mboko. She expressed her determination to claim the title, stating that she feels great and is more than ready for the final. The world No 1 will face Rybakina, who has inflicted Sabalenka's only two defeats since August, including their Australian Open final encounter. Rybakina defeated Elina Svitolina in the semi-final, breaking twice in the second set to lead 5-1 before serving out the match at the second attempt.
