Norwich Claim Narrow Victory at Charlton

Norwich City moved into the top 10 of the Sky Bet Championship after a narrow 1-0 victory at Charlton Athletic, courtesy of Pelle Mattsson's early strike. The 24-year-old midfielder found the back of the net in the fifth minute, scoring his first goal since joining from Silkeborg last summer. The Canaries dominated the early stages, with Paris Maghoma causing problems for the hosts with his movement. Maghoma went close to extending City's lead in the 14th minute, but Charlton goalkeeper Will Mannion made a smart diving save. Despite Charlton's improved potency in the second half, Norwich continued to pose a threat on the counter. The Addicks had several chances to level, but were unable to find the equalizer. Norwich manager Philippe Clement praised his team's performance, citing their mental, physical, and tactical efforts as key to the win. Charlton boss Nathan Jones, on the other hand, expressed frustration with his team's defending and the referee's decisions, which he felt cost his side the game.
