Sky Forms New Alliance with Team GB and ParalympicsGB
Sky has unveiled a new collaboration with Team GB and ParalympicsGB, underscoring its dedication to British athletics and uniting the nation around pivotal cultural events, inspiring narratives, and accomplishments that resonate deeply. This partnership, spanning from the 2026 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games in Milano Cortina to the 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games in Los Angeles, will provide comprehensive support to athletes throughout the entire Olympic and Paralympic cycle. Sky will play a pivotal role in connecting UK audiences with athletes, celebrating their achievements, challenges, and breakthroughs as they journey towards the world's most prominent sporting stage. Team GB's Chief Commercial Officer, Tim Ellerton, expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership, stating, 'We are thrilled to embark on this innovative alliance with Sky, which will enable us to amplify the stories of our extraordinary athletes and foster deeper connections with fans nationwide.' Paralympics GB Commercial Director Jenny Seymour added, 'We look forward to collaborating with Sky to promote inclusion, challenge perceptions of disability, and inspire the next generation of fans and athletes.' This partnership is part of Sky's long-term commitment to supporting the growth of sports in the UK, including its position as the largest investor in women's sports in the country. The 2026 Milan Cortina Winter Games are scheduled to take place from February 6-22, followed by the Paralympic Winter Games from March 6-15. The next summer Olympics in the United States are set to occur from July 14-30, with the Paralympics following from August 15-27. Team GB Olympic diving medallist Andrea Spendolini-Sirieix commented, 'It's amazing to have Sky's support, which will take the excitement to the next level as we journey towards LA28.' Tokyo Paralympics gold medallist Lauren Steadman expressed her enthusiasm for the partnership, stating, 'Our collaboration with Sky is more than just about medals; it's about changing perceptions, promoting inclusivity, and demonstrating what can be achieved when opportunity and ambition converge.'
