Red Bull Unveils Retro Blue Design for 2026 F1 Season

Red Bull has officially revealed its throwback blue livery for the upcoming 2026 Formula 1 season, marking a new chapter for the team. The design was showcased at the team's launch event in Detroit, where Red Bull and its junior squad, Racing Bulls, became the first teams to unveil their 2026 looks. This season will see Red Bull manufacture its own engine in collaboration with Ford, a significant change that coincides with the introduction of new regulations for power units and chassis. Max Verstappen, who will be attempting to reclaim the drivers' title, was in attendance, along with his new teammate, 21-year-old Isack Hadjar. The team's statement highlighted that the new livery is inspired by Red Bull's original design when it first entered F1 in 2005, featuring a gloss finish that enhances the car's appearance under the lights. Team principal Laurent Mekies, who is embarking on his first full campaign, acknowledged the challenges that come with producing their own engine and does not expect the team to start the season as contenders for victories. Despite this, Mekies expressed confidence in the team's ability to develop and improve throughout the season. The 2026 season will feature a robust testing schedule, including three separate events, before the opening round in Melbourne. The Australian Grand Prix will take place from March 6-8, with the first practice sessions on Friday, qualifying on Saturday, and the opening race on Sunday.
