Both Aston Villa and Tottenham expressed interest in acquiring Gallagher from Atletico, but negotiations now appear to favor Spurs. The London club has long admired Gallagher, dating back to his signing with Atletico in August 2024 for approximately £38m. The 25-year-old England international is under contract with Atletico until 2029.
