Bordeaux Dominates Northampton in Champions Cup Repeat

The Northampton Saints suffered a crushing 50-28 defeat at the hands of reigning Champions Cup holders Bordeaux, in a rematch of last season's final. Despite having already secured a spot in the round of 16, the Saints were unable to withstand Bordeaux's relentless attack, which saw them cross the line eight times. Henry Pollock's double and Danilo Fischetti's late try earned Northampton a bonus point, but it was little consolation against the champions' dazzling display. Bordeaux full-back Salesi Rayasi and Cameron Woki both scored hat-tricks, as the French side ran riot. Meanwhile, Harlequins bounced back to form with a resounding 61-10 victory over the previously unbeaten Stormers, securing their place in the Champions Cup knockout stages. Munster, on the other hand, slipped to a narrow 27-25 defeat against Toulon, but managed to secure a potentially crucial losing bonus point.
