Brooks Koepka Seeks to Rejoin PGA Tour After Departing LIV Golf

Brooks Koepka, a five-time major winner, has submitted an application to regain his membership in the PGA Tour, following his decision to leave LIV Golf. This move comes after Koepka chose to end his contract a year early, citing a desire to spend more time with his family. His last appearance on the PGA Tour, excluding major events, was at the Valspar Championship in March 2022. According to ESPN, Koepka is now looking to return to the US circuit, although he will have to adhere to the tour's policy, which typically requires a one-year waiting period after competing in LIV Golf. His last LIV Golf event was in August 2025. Before being allowed to return, Koepka will need to undergo a disciplinary process, with the final decision expected to be made by the new CEO, Brian Rolapp, in consultation with the PGA Tour policy board, which includes Tiger Woods. Despite his current ranking of 244th in the world, Koepka remains eligible to compete in the four major championships due to his five-year exemption from winning the 2023 PGA Championship. The first event of the 2026 PGA Tour is the Sony Open in Hawaii, which will be broadcast live on Sky Sports.
