Kansas City Chiefs Acknowledge Allegations of Domestic Violence Against Rashee Rice

The Kansas City Chiefs have issued a statement confirming their awareness of domestic violence allegations made against wide receiver Rashee Rice by a former girlfriend. The allegations, which were posted on social media, claim that Rice was involved in a physically abusive relationship. The team stated that they are in communication with the NFL regarding the matter but will not be providing any further comment at this time. The allegations were made by Dacoda Nichole Jones, who shared photos on Instagram that appeared to show signs of physical abuse. Jones did not mention Rice by name but did state that the person involved is the father of her children, with whom she has two kids. It is worth noting that Rice was previously involved in a car crash on a Dallas highway during the 2024 offseason, which resulted in multiple injuries and led to an NFL suspension. Rice pleaded guilty to felony charges related to the incident and was sentenced to 30 days in jail and five years' probation. The Chiefs selected Rice in the second round of the 2023 draft, and he went on to record 53 catches for 571 yards and five touchdowns in his first season with the team.
