Anthony Joshua Shares First Photos Following Fatal Car Accident in Nigeria
Following a devastating car crash in Nigeria that claimed the lives of two of his close friends, Anthony Joshua has shared his first social media posts. Released from the hospital on New Year's Eve after sustaining minor injuries, Joshua returned to the UK ahead of memorial services for Sina Ghami and Latif 'Latz' Ayodele, who tragically lost their lives in the accident. In recent posts on social media platforms, Joshua shared images appearing to show him alongside grieving family members, accompanied by the phrase 'My Brothers Keeper.' Both Ghami and Ayodele were described as integral to Joshua's team and close friends in a statement by his spokesperson. Floral tributes have been laid at Ghami's north London gym. The driver involved, Adeniyi Mobolaji Kayode, has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving and driving without a license, with the case adjourned until January 20. Kayode was granted bail and is awaiting the fulfillment of his bail conditions. Joshua, who has Nigerian roots, was in the country after his recent victory over Jake Paul in Miami.
