In total, the schedule comprises 36 tournaments, eight of which are designated as Signature Events that will feature the elite field of the top 50 players from the previous year’s FedExCup standings, plus additional qualifiers from the Aon Next 10 and Aon Swing 5 series. The season will kick off with The American Express tournament at PGA West in La Quinta, California, running from January 21 to 24.
This opening event sets the tone for a busy calendar that will culminate with the Tour Championship at East Lake Golf Club in Atlanta, Georgia, from August 26 to 29. Among the most noteworthy changes is the introduction of a brand‑new competition, the Sompo Championship, which will occupy the penultimate slot of the regular season, taking place from July 29 to August 1 at the Silverado Resort’s North Course in Napa, California. This addition expands the tour’s presence on the West Coast and offers another high‑stakes stop for players seeking FedExCup points late in the schedule. Another adjustment involves the long‑standing tournament in Greensboro, North Carolina.
Formerly known as the Wyndham Championship, the event has been rebranded as the GO by Raymond James and will be contested from August 5 to 8 at Sedgefield Country Club. The name change reflects a new title sponsor and a fresh marketing push aimed at boosting the tournament’s profile.
The Florida Swing also sees a reshuffle. The Cadillac Championship, traditionally held after The Players, will now be played from March 4 to 7 at Trump National Doral’s famed Blue Monster course in Miami.
This move places the Cadillac event a week before The Players, which will remain at TPC Sawgrass from March 11 to 14. Consequently, the Arnold Palmer Invitational, usually positioned earlier in March, has been shifted to the March 18‑21 window at Bay Hill Club & Lodge in Orlando. All remaining Signature Events retain their existing dates and formats.
These tournaments continue to draw the top‑ranked golfers and feature the same qualification pathways, ensuring continuity for fans and players alike. A major venue change occurs for the BMW Championship, scheduled for August 19‑22. The tournament will move to Liberty National Golf Club in Jersey City, New Jersey, a course that previously hosted the 2017 Presidents Cup and last saw a FedExCup playoff event in 2019.
The move to Liberty National adds a dramatic waterfront backdrop and modern amenities to one of the season’s most prestigious stops. The PGA Tour also announced that details regarding the FedExCup Fall schedule, as well as the eligibility rules for the forthcoming PGA Tour Championship Series and the PGA Tour Challenger Series, will be disclosed at a later date. Importantly, the revamped format for the season‑ending Tour Championship will not be rolled out until the 2028 season, giving players and organizers additional time to adapt.
