Angela Stanford has announced her three captain's selections for the upcoming Solheim Cup, naming Megan Khang, Lindy Duncan and Rose Zhang as the final additions to Team USA's 12‑player roster. The complete lineup was confirmed on Monday, completing a squad that will travel to the Bernardus Golf Club in the Netherlands for the September 11‑13 competition.
The two Lee sisters, Andrea and Alison, secured their places by climbing the Rolex Women’s World Golf Rankings after the CPKC Women’s Open, joining a group of automatic qualifiers that includes Nelly Korda, Angel Yin, Jennifer Kupcho, Yealimi Noh, Auston Kim, Lauren Coughlin and Allisen Corpuz. Those players earned their spots through the Solheim Cup points system, which rewards consistent performance over the season. Europe’s captain, Anna Nordqvist, had already announced her three picks back in August, so both teams now have their full rosters set. The event will be broadcast live on Sky Sports Golf for all three days, giving fans worldwide a chance to watch the United States and Europe battle for the coveted trophy.
Among Stanford’s picks, only two are newcomers to the Solheim Cup: 35‑year‑old Lindy Duncan and 26‑year‑old Auston Kim. Duncan also makes history as the second‑oldest debutant since Nancy Scranton, who first played at age 39 in the 2000 edition.
"The selection process was a lot of fun," Stanford told The Golf Channel. "We had some tough moments, especially when we had to tell players they didn’t make the team, but we expected that part of the job.
I’m thrilled with the twelve athletes we’ve chosen." Stanford added, "We’re excited to head to the Netherlands and represent the red, white and blue with pride." Two hopefuls, Lucy Li and Jenny Bae, fell just short after missing the cut at the CPKC Women’s Open, while seasoned veterans Lilia Vu—who has struggled with form this season—and Lexi Thompson, who is expecting her first child early next year, also missed out on selection. Megan Khang brings a wealth of experience to the U.S. side.
The 28‑year‑old has competed in four Solheim Cups and was a key contributor to the United States’ victory at the Robert Trent Jones Golf Club in 2024, posting an unbeaten 3‑0‑0 record. "When Angela called, I was stunned and then she asked if I was going to smile," Khang recalled. "It was an incredible honor, and once you’ve played in a Solheim Cup you never want to miss another. I can’t wait to get back to Bernardus." Rose Zhang, now 23, has already participated in the 2023 and 2024 Cups, matching Khang’s perfect 4‑0‑0 record in the most recent edition.
She has enjoyed a strong season on the LPGA Tour, recording three top‑10 finishes in 14 starts and tying for eighth at The Standard Portland Classic last week. Stanford explained her choice: "Rose has been successful at every level she’s played. She’s a winner, and it was an easy decision to include her." Lindy Duncan’s résumé reflects steady progress on the LPGA Tour.
Over the past two seasons she has logged 14 top‑25 finishes, highlighted by a tied‑second place at the 2025 Chevron Championship. "Thinking back to a few years ago, I never imagined I’d still be here," Duncan said.
"I was close to stepping away from the game, but perseverance paid off. Making the team feels like a dream finally realized." Andrea Lee secured her spot as the highest‑ranked American in the Rolex rankings who had not qualified via the points list, marking her third Solheim Cup appearance.
She previously earned automatic qualification twice and holds a 3‑2‑2 record, including a notable partnership with Zhang in 2024 that produced two decisive foursome victories. Alison Lee, also heading to her third Cup, returns after a maternity break. The 31‑year‑old has a 2‑5‑0 record over seven matches and contributed to U.S.
victories in 2015 and 2024. This season she has posted three top‑five finishes, tying for third at both the Mizuho Americas Open and the Dow Championship. World No. 1 Nelly Korda tops the points list, having captured four titles this year, including a triumph at the Chevron Championship in April and a major win at the U.S.
Open in June. Stanford praised her, saying, "I’m really proud of Nelly.
She’s grown into a leader, carries the weight of the tour with poise, and her calm demeanor is a huge asset for the team." Returning veterans Angel Yin and Jennifer Kupcho will each be making their fourth Solheim Cup appearance, while Yealimi Noh, who finished third at the AIG Women’s Open, ranks fourth on the points list. Auston Kim will debut, and Lauren Coughlin and Allisen Corpuz round out the automatically qualified players.
The Solheim Cup promises a fiercely contested showdown as Europe seeks to reclaim the trophy. Fans can watch every match live on Sky Sports Golf from September 11 to 13, with streaming options available for those without a traditional contract. The event not only showcases elite golf but also highlights the personal journeys of the athletes—stories of perseverance, breakthrough performances, and the honor of representing their country on one of the sport’s biggest stages.
