The procedure, which corrected strabismus, also known as cross-eye, has enabled Littler to achieve exceptional eyesight, currently boasting treble-20 vision. This condition, where the eyes fail to align properly, was treated at Warrington hospital when Littler was just a child. His parents had sought the operation, and it has since proven to be a pivotal decision, contributing to his success as the world's top darts player. Reflecting on the experience, Littler expressed that while he doesn't recall much about the surgery, it was a necessary step that has had a lasting positive impact. With his eyesight now being a vital aspect of his darts career, Littler is set to defend his World Championship title at Alexandra Palace.
