Forest's head coach, Sean Dyche, argues that the winner should have been disallowed due to a foul on Morgan Gibbs-White and that Dias should have been sent off for a second bookable offense. The club has requested audio from the match officials and the VAR team to better understand the decision-making process. Former Premier League official Dermot Gallagher agrees that Dias should have been sent off but disagrees with Dyche regarding the legitimacy of City's winner. This marks the second formal complaint Forest has made to the Professional Game Match Officials Limited (PGMO) this month, following a similar complaint after their defeat to Everton.
