Emma Raducanu Set to Make Her Comeback at the United Cup, Exclusively on Sky Sports

Following a brief hiatus due to illness, Emma Raducanu is poised to make her highly anticipated return to competitive tennis at the United Cup, where she will represent Great Britain alongside Billy Harris in Australia. Raducanu's 2025 season came to an abrupt end in October after she fell ill in China, forcing her to skip the final two events of the year in Tokyo and Hong Kong. The United Cup, which will be broadcast live on Sky Sports from January 2 to January 11, features 18 countries divided into six groups of three, with each team competing against the others in their pool before the top six group winners and two runner-up teams advance to the quarterfinals. Each match consists of one men's, one women's, and one mixed doubles contest. Great Britain, grouped with Japan and Greece in Perth-based Group E, will see Raducanu face off against Naomi Osaka and Maria Sakkari in her singles matches. The British team is scheduled to play Japan on January 4 and Greece the following day. Raducanu was initially set to partner with Jack Draper, but the British men's No. 1 has withdrawn due to an ongoing left arm issue, which will also keep him out of the Australian Open in Melbourne from January 18 to February 1. In Draper's absence, Raducanu will team up with Billy Harris, the British men's No. 5, who has had a breakout year. Raducanu expressed her well-wishes for Draper's recovery, saying, 'We would love to have him on the team; he's a vital part of British tennis.' She also praised Harris, noting, 'He's had a fantastic year and has really come into his own over the past few years. It's great to spend time with him and be part of the team environment.' Raducanu confirmed in October that she will continue to work with coach Francisco Roig in 2026, a partnership that yielded a third-round finish at the US Open before a loss to Elena Rybakina. The United Cup and more top-tier tennis events will be available to stream live on Sky Sports in 2026, with contract-free options on NOW.
