A packed day of racing action unfolds on Friday, with thrilling flat events from Wolverhampton and Meydan, all live on Sky Sports Racing. The highlight of the day is Quddwah, set to compete in the prestigious Group Two Zabeel Mile. Following their victory in this race last year with Poker Face, trainers Simon and Ed Crisford are back with their star performer, aiming to replicate their success. Despite only securing two wins last year, Quddwah kept esteemed company throughout the season and narrowly missed out on the Prix Daniel Wildenstein in October. After a disappointing performance in the Queen Elizabeth II Stakes, Quddwah has been refreshed and is now poised to regain form. Top-weight Straight A, representing the Michael Appleby team, is a Wolverhampton specialist seeking his third course success. Although he is 2lbs higher than his last winning mark, Straight A has been unfortunate with the handicapper, as his weight has increased without securing a win due to encountering well-handicapped opponents. The Godolphin pair, Catullus and Treanmor, will clash in the Jumeirah Stakes at Meydan. Catullus, ridden by William Buick, returns from a layoff, having last been seen in the Tattersalls Stakes at Newmarket in September. Although he was beaten that day, the form of the race has substance, with the winner Distant Storm finishing third in the Dewhurst next time out. Stablemate Treanmor will be ridden by Billy Loughnane, who boasts a 50 per cent strike rate when riding for Charlie Appleby in the UK. Treanmor was sent off as a warm favorite for the Chesham Stakes but hasn't been seen since disappointing in that event. As the son of Frankel, he could prove much better than that and remains a point of interest. Appleby won this contest with a second string 12 months ago and appears to hold the upper hand here. Do or Do Not, highly tried by Ed Walker last summer, arrives as the top-rated contender, with his second place in the Coventry behind Gstaad being the most notable form on display. After a disappointing end to the season, Do or Do Not is now trained by Jamie Osborne. Power For Power outperformed Do Or Do Not over this course and distance last time out, but the latter arrives here better off at the weights. Dark Saffron headlines a competitive Group Three contest at 3.50 Meydan but needs to rediscover his form after a disappointing performance in December. At 6.00 Wolverhampton, the well-bred Frankel filly Star Obsession makes her debut for William Haggas. Law Supreme aims to secure back-to-back course wins at 8.30 Wolverhampton.
