Darts Player Dom Taylor Faces Ban and Loss of Prize Money Following Failed Drug Test

Professional darts player Dom Taylor has been barred from participating in all PDC events and stripped of his World Darts Championship winnings after failing a drug test, as confirmed by the Darts Regulation Authority. This decision comes after Taylor, 27, initially received a suspension in December due to an 'adverse analytical finding' from a test conducted on December 14. He had previously been suspended for a month earlier in the year for a similar offense at the Players Championship Finals, serving a reduced sentence after completing a UKAD-approved treatment program. The PDC Order of Merit has been updated, removing Taylor's £25,000 in winnings, which has resulted in him dropping to 68th place and losing his eligibility for a one-year PDC tour card. Taylor has publicly apologized for his actions, citing personal struggles and a history of dishonesty about his situation. The DRA has initiated a disciplinary process in accordance with their anti-doping rules, and the matter will be addressed confidentially.
