Despite being linked to Saudi Arabian clubs, Salah has opted for a move to the Turkish Super Lig. During his time at Liverpool, Salah won seven major trophies and became the club's third-highest goalscorer with 257 goals in 442 games. Former Premier League defender John Curtis believes the move may be motivated by financial factors, with reports suggesting Salah will earn £17m per year, potentially less than his Liverpool salary and significantly less than what he could have earned in Saudi Arabia. Curtis questions whether the transfer is a step down for Salah, given the difference in quality of players between Trabzonspor and Liverpool.
