Due to personal reasons, Castleford Tigers head coach Ryan Carr will not attend the upcoming game against Hull KR. In his place, Chris Chester, Scott Murrell, and Rob Nickolay will take charge, supported by club legend Adrian Vowles. Carr, who joined the team on a three-year deal, was previously the coach of Featherstone Rovers and assistant manager at Leeds Rhinos. A club statement confirmed the news, stating that Chris Chester, Rob Nickolay, and Scott Murrell will oversee on and off-field operations.

The team is currently ninth in the Super League table with seven wins from 21 games, and has six remaining matches against Hull FC, St Helens, Catalans Dragons, Bradford Bulls, and Huddersfield Giants.
