Renowned rugby league player Tommy Makinson has revealed plans to hang up his boots at the conclusion of the current Super League season. With a storied career spanning over a decade, primarily with St Helens from 2011 to 2024, Makinson boasts an impressive five Super League titles and over 300 appearances. His achievements include a World Club Challenge, a Challenge Cup, and four League Leaders' Shields, along with three Super League Dream Team selections. Makinson, known for his prolific try-scoring ability, has scored over 200 tries for St Helens and an additional 20 tries in 37 appearances for the Catalans Dragons since joining in 2025.
He has also represented England on more than 20 occasions.
