Dewi Weber is eager to be a part of the home Solheim Cup in any capacity, despite being ineligible to compete for Team Europe in the Netherlands. The Bernardus Golf near Den Bosch will host the biennial tournament from September 11-13, where Anna Nordqvist will lead Team Europe's attempt to reclaim the trophy after their loss to Team USA in 2024. Weber had pushed for Solheim Cup consideration at the KPMG Women's PGA Championship, where her tied-third finish propelled her from outside the world's top 200 to a career-high world No 82.
However, she remained ineligible due to not being a member of the Ladies European Tour. Weber had aimed to win one of the three remaining qualification events to secure LET membership but missed the cut at the Amundi Evian Championship, finished tied-44th at the ISPS Handa Women's Scottish Open, and ended in the same position at the AIG Women's Open. The Dutch golfer was open to any involvement in the home event, saying it would be 'super cool' for the Netherlands and an 'amazing' opportunity for women's golf in the country.
