Following a consistent first half of the 2026 Formula 1 season, Ferrari team principal Frederic Vasseur has outlined the key areas for improvement as the team seeks to support Lewis Hamilton's title bid. Hamilton, who is 50 points behind leader Kimi Antonelli, will need Ferrari to close the performance gap to Mercedes if he is to stay in contention. Vasseur acknowledged that while Ferrari have made progress, they must continue to develop and improve, particularly in terms of engine performance, if they are to challenge for both the drivers' and constructors' championships. The Frenchman emphasized the importance of maintaining a strong development pace, with 12 races remaining in the season.
Ferrari will resume their campaign after the summer break at the Dutch Grand Prix, where they will aim to reduce the gap to Mercedes and keep Hamilton's title hopes alive.
