Following his international debut, British and Irish Lions tour, and contribution to Northampton's 2025-26 Gallagher Prem title win, England star Henry Pollock is expected to seek a substantial salary increase to remain with Northampton, with his agent Eddie Hearn valuing him at a minimum of £1m per year. Pollock's current contract, which expires next summer, is worth around £150,000 annually. Since signing the deal in December 2024, the 21-year-old back-row forward has enhanced his profile significantly, including 13 international caps and an improved commercial presence after joining Hearn's Matchroom agency in March. Pollock also receives £150,000 per year from the Rugby Football Union as an enhanced elite player squad member with England.
Despite potential lucrative offers, he is keen to stay with Northampton. However, the club's ability to meet his wage demands may be limited by the Prem's £6.4m salary cap, with England fly-half Fin Smith occupying the marquee player spot.
Hearn emphasized that Pollock does not wish to play abroad, as it would render him ineligible for England selection due to the RFU's policy. Hearn stressed that Northampton must acknowledge Pollock's value, citing his impact on season ticket sales, viewership, and merchandise sales, and argued that his current salary is unsustainable.
